Compare Pristine Detail's XPEL and Ceramic Pro coating packages, from 2-year protection to a lifetime warranty, with real starting prices.
Updated October 2026.
"How long does a ceramic coating last?" is one of the first questions we get. The honest answer is that it depends on the coating, how many layers go on, and how well the paint is prepared first. Here is how every coating package at Pristine Detail compares, with real starting prices.
Prices are starting prices. The final price depends on vehicle size and paint condition.
1. Paint correction before coating. A ceramic coating locks in whatever is underneath it, swirls included. That's why our longest-lasting packages include two-step paint correction to remove swirls and light scratches before the coating goes on.
2. More layers. Each layer adds thickness. Ceramic Pro Gold uses four layers of 9H plus a Top Coat, compared with one layer in our entry packages.
3. A registered warranty. Ceramic Pro Gold comes with a lifetime warranty registered with Ceramic Pro. A yearly inspection at our shop keeps it active. As a certified Ceramic Pro installer, we handle the registration.
4. How you wash it. Hand washing or touchless washing helps any coating last. Automatic brush washes wear it down faster.
A ceramic coating makes paint glossy and easy to clean, but it won't stop rock chips. Many customers put paint protection film on the front of the car and a ceramic coating over the whole vehicle. Read more in our post on PPF vs. ceramic coating.
Winter Special (Nov 1 – Feb 28): get free Glass Protection ($299.99 value) with Essential Ceramic or Ceramic Pro Bronze, or free Wheel & Caliper Protection ($399.99 value) with Premium, Ultimate or Ceramic Pro Gold. See the Winter Special.
Not sure which one fits? Bring the car by our Edina shop at 4444 W 76th St, or call (651) 706-9895. We'll look at the paint and recommend the right package.
