A look at recent favorites from our Edina shop: a blue-wrapped Lexus RC F, a green Tesla Model Y, a BMW X5 M, a satin gray BMW M2 and a Honda Civic Type R.

Updated October 2026.

Some of the best cars in the Twin Cities come through our Edina shop. Here's a look at five recent favorites, from a blue-wrapped Lexus to a Tesla in a color it never came in from the factory, plus what owners of cars like these usually ask us about.

Lexus RC F

The Lexus RC F pairs a naturally aspirated V8 with sharp, aggressive styling. This one came to our Edina shop for a full color change vinyl wrap, and the bright blue sets off its exposed carbon fiber hood. A wrap gives you a completely new color without a repaint, protects the factory paint underneath and can be removed later. If you want a new color with the self-healing protection of film, color change PPF is another option.

Tesla Model Y in deep green

Tesla doesn't offer a green Model Y from the factory, so a finish like this turns heads everywhere it goes. A full color change is one of the best ways to make a common car your own. Our color change PPF gives you a new color with real paint protection, and vinyl wraps offer even more color and finish choices.

BMW X5 M

The X5 M is a family SUV with supercar power. Big, upright SUVs like this take a lot of rock chips across the front bumper and hood, especially on Minnesota highways. A full front end of clear PPF and a ceramic coating on the whole vehicle keeps a bold color like this looking new.

Satin and matte finishes look amazing on the M2's muscular shape, but they're harder to care for than gloss paint. You can't polish out scratches without making the finish shiny. Satin paint protection film is the best way to protect a satin look. It self-heals light scratches and keeps the finish even.

Honda Civic Type R

The Civic Type R is a true enthusiast car that owners love to drive hard. That means highway miles, track days and lots of rock chips. Clear PPF on the front end, plus window tint and a ceramic coating, are popular choices for cars that get driven the way they were meant to be.

Frequently asked questions

Can I protect carbon fiber parts?

Yes. Clear PPF and ceramic coatings work on carbon fiber hoods, roofs, mirrors and trim. They help prevent fading, haze and chips in the clear finish.

What's the best way to change my car's color?

You have two great choices. Color change PPF is thick, self-healing and protects against rock chips. Vinyl wraps cost less and offer more color and finish options. We'll help you pick based on your budget and how you drive.

How do I care for a satin or matte finish?

Hand wash with a pH-neutral soap made for matte finishes and never wax or polish it. Satin PPF makes care much easier, because it self-heals light scratches and keeps the finish even.

Do you work on SUVs and daily drivers too?

Absolutely. We protect and detail everything from daily drivers and family SUVs to exotics. Every vehicle gets the same care.

Drive a Tesla, Rivian, Porsche or Mercedes-Benz? We're an XPEL partner and work on these makes often. See the services and photos of cars we've done on our Tesla, Rivian, Porsche and Mercedes-Benz pages.
